“We’re preparing a marketing campaign for Speranza Animal Rescue, where we’re going to be offering a glass with their logo on it,” Darryl says, adding that 50 percent of the proceeds will go to animals through the rescue, rehabilitation center and sanctuary.
The couple is happy to do what they can to help animals. They had two dogs, but lost one recently and the second has heart disease and isn’t likely to be around longer than a few more months. The love for their pets is obvious when they speak.
A passion for helping animals also translates to helping people. Darryl says they were happy to see the recent passage of Libre’s Law – an anti-animal cruelty law in Pennsylvania – and what it means for preventing animal abuse – and more.
“That helped bring us a step forward to actually do something about animal abuse,” he says. “Our passion is in doing whatever we can, even in a small way, to make sure these animals are treated with respect and later find loving homes.”
